Terms and Conditions

1. COMPETITION

1.1 Ncell Private Limited (the "Ncell") is holding a competition for creation/development of Mobile Applications ("App" or "Product") (the "Competition").

1.2 It is a team based Competition and each participating team ("Team") shall consist of minimum of two (2) members and maximum of five (5) members. All members of the Team should be Nepalese citizen and shall have completed at least 16 years of age.

2. INELIGIBILITY AND DISQUALIFICATION

2.1 Teams consisting following persons shall be ineligible to participate in the Competition:

a) The employees and their family members of the Ncell, the organizers, advertising agencies working with Ncell.
b) Ideas that have been declared as winners in mobile app development competition, national or international, of similar nature.
c) App ideas that made through to the finals (top 24) of Ncell App Camp 2014 cannot be re-enterd in this year’s challenge. The team and members of those teams however can participate in Ncell App Camp 2015 with new app ideas.

2.2 Teams can also participate with developed App, but that should not have been developed more than one (1) year before the launch of the Competition.

2.3 Well established IT based companies cannot participate. New companies and start ups may participate.

3. PROCEDURE FOR PARTICIPATION

3.1 The teams willing to participant in this Competition should register online at www.ncell.com.np/appcamp along with necessary details and documents specified in the online registration portal. The registration process should be completed within 12 noon September 20, 2015.

3.2 The shortlisted Teams will be notified within the timeline as specified during the registration process. Only the shortlisted teams will be invited to participate in the Competition.

3.3 The Competition shall be conducted at various stages. The main event and final announcements will be held on December 21 to December 22, 2015 in Kathmandu.

4. SELECTION OF THE WINNER AND PRIZE

4.1 The winning Team of the Competition shall be selected by the decision of the jury nominated and selected by Ncell. There will be two (2) types of winners (a) Category Winner (winner of the each of the category: Games and Entertainment, Health, Tourism, and Utilities) , and (b) the Overall Winner (adjudged as the best among the four category winners).

4.2 The Team selected as a Category Winner will receive a cash prize of NRs 250,000.00/- (Nepalese Rupees Two hundred and fifty thousand only) net of tax. The Team selected as overall winner shall receive NRs 500,000.00/- (Nepalese Rupees Five Hundred thousand only) net of tax. The Team declared as an Overall Winner will also have the opportunity to participate in an overseas App Camp scheduled to be held during 2016.

4.3 The Jury shall announce the winner on the final event day i.e. December 22, 2015.

4.4 The winning Teams shall be provided time until January 15, 2016 to complete and complete their Product, as defined during pitching, if they have not already completed it. Upon the submission of the final Product, Ncell shall hand over the prize money to the winning Teams by January 31, 2016.

4.5 However, if any winning Team fails to submit the Product within January 15, 2016 the award to be provided to such Team shall be deemed cancelled. The Team shall not be entitled to any amount from Ncell as prize, award or otherwise whatsoever.

4.6 The winning Teams will have to enter into a separate agreement with Ncell to outline terms and conditions of the use of App and distribution of the Prize money.

4.7 The participating Teams shall remain owners of the intellectual property of the App developed by them. However, each Team shall make Apps available free for use for a period up to one year from the date of closure of the Competition.

4.8 The teams that are announced as the top 24 finalists of the competition shall provide their app for Ncell App Sansar after the completion of their Product.

5. GENERAL RULES

5.1 The participants of the Competition will have to abide by all the rules, regulations and decisions of Ncell.

5.2 The decision of Ncell regarding the Competition and the prizes shall be final and such decision will be binding to all the concerned including the participants.

5.3 Ncell shall have sole power to alter or cancel the Competition at any time without prior notice or stating reason thereof and without any liability.

5.4 The Team Leader shall be responsible to manage and coordinate among the team members as well as communicate on behalf of the team during the Competition.

5.5 Each Team shall take full responsibility for any infringement of intellectual property or other legal issues related to their Products.

5.6 The Prize will be awarded to the Team collectively.

5.7 Ncell shall have the right to use the photograph, image, personal data of the Teams and each members of the Team participating in the Competition for its promotional activity without any payment or remuneration.

5.8 Ncell shall not be liable for any cost or expenses which may be incurred by the Teams for participating in the Competition.

5.9 All the members of the Team shall be deemed to have agreed to the terms and conditions of the Competition by participating in the Competition.
